Solar Power Design Award

The Foundation is hosting a STEM based design contest. The winning team will receive their equipment list to build their design. 

​​

The winning solar design will be used to power remote aquaponic systems in areas where electricity is not possible.

​

Basic design requirements and specs for the solar power contest. 

​​

• Electrical requirements: (2.4 amps 120v 24/7) 

• Weatherproof rated box for all electric components and outdoor connections.

• Ground Stands for solar panels 

• 750w LED growing lights 

​

​Must fit on a regular size shipping pallet not to exceed standard heights. Cannot contain wood for international shipping simplicity. ​​​​​​​​Tools required for assembly must be included. ​
